Smoky Barbecue Chicken Drumsticks

Fresh chicken drumsticks in a smoky barbecue glaze. Perfect for a sizzling summer BBQ.

  • To oven cook (from chilled): Remove all packaging. Place on a baking tray in the centre of a preheated oven 190°C/fan 170°C/gas mark 5 for 40-45 minutes.
  • Poultry is cooked if the juices run clear when the deepest part of the flesh is pierced with a thin skewer. If the juices are pink, continue cooking for a few minutes and retest. For really crisp skin continue cooking the drums for a further 5 minutes.
  • To Barbecue: Cook as per oven guidelines, then place on the barbecue for a further 5 minutes, turning frequently. Check food is cooked thoroughly and is piping hot throughout before serving.

Serving Suggestions

Serve with buttery corn on the cob and a squeeze of lime for a refreshing, sunshine meal. A school holiday favourite to keep the whole table happy.
