It brings us great pride to be helpful and give back, ensuring that we can make a difference and that our community feels supported. We’re determined to make a positive impact and instill worthwhile change in our society, for our staff, customers and for future generations to come.
‘Chicken Run’ was our community initiative that we took on the road in 2020. We encouraged our following to nominate a loved one to receive a food box, filled with enough supplies to make six family meals. Along with our 150 doorstop deliveries, ‘Chicken Run’ supported three local charities too: Lurgan Area Community Aid, Good Morning Ballymena and Food For All @ The Junction, Dungannon. The well-being of our community is so important to us and we’re determined to support households in our locality and nationwide.
We’re conscious of the financial stress that comes upon charities, community groups and voluntary practices. What they do on a daily basis is life-changing; it is imperative that they are able to continue such important work. We are proud to support these initiatives however we can across the UK and Ireland. Some of the causes we stand behind are the Blackwater Community Barge and the Chrysalis Women’s Centre in Craigavon, providing financial support to allow them to continue to provide their valuable services long-term.
We have partnered with FareShare since 2015, a charity network dedicated to relieving food poverty and reducing food waste in the UK, contributing over 400,000 meals to those in need with nutritious, healthy food. These meals go to community groups supporting families and children, older people, those with mental health conditions and services supporting people experiencing homelessness. Our aim is to ease the burden for those struggling and who need a helping hand. Like FareShare, we believe that no good food should go to waste and through this partnership we are committed to supporting those in our local communities with high-quality, nutritious meals.
We’re proud to support our charity partner, Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia charity, providing information and support to those affected by dementia while working to improve care and fund research. Since our partnership began in March 2021, we worked to raise £50,000 in donations, which we matched to donate a total of £100,000 to support their essential work. At Moy Park, we are dedicated to raising awareness of Alzheimer’s Society and the work they do to help those affected by dementia.
